Who we are
Hearby is a conversation coach for the device and iPhone, offered by [legal entity name] ("Hearby", "we"). This policy covers the Hearby app, this website and Hearby's online service.
What stays on your device
Audio from live sessions is transcribed on your device and is not uploaded to us.
Your session history, scores, playbooks and voice sample are stored on your device. We receive only what sync needs, and only when you turn sync on.
What we collect
Account details from the sign-in provider you choose: your name, email address and profile picture.
Your plan, billing status and the devices you have signed in on.
The text of the conversation turn needed to write your next line, which is not kept after the session, and a count of live minutes for your plan's limits.
Basic technical logs from this website and our service, such as IP address, browser and error reports.
How we use it
To run your account, keep you signed in, apply your plan, take payment, write your next line and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your information and we do not train models on your conversations.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run parts of Hearby for us: sign-in, payments, hosting, our database and the model and voice providers that write and speak your next line. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
Meta, through the Meta Pixel on our marketing pages (not the app or your account pages), so we can measure which of our ads bring visitors and waitlist sign-ups. It records the page you visit and your browser details. When you join the waitlist we also tell Meta directly from our server, sending a one-way hashed copy of your email, your IP address and browser details, so the sign-up is counted once.

How long we keep it
Account information is kept while your account is open and deleted within [period] after you ask us to delete it, except where we must keep records by law (for example, tax records of payments).
Conversation text is kept only as long as needed to write the line and for [period] of abuse and error logs.
Your choices and rights
You can see and update your account details, sign out any Mac and ask us to delete your account from your account page.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your information, and to complain to a privacy regulator.
Children
Hearby is not meant for children under [age], and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
